This memorial was for a friend's Mum. There were many things about their Mum they wanted to incorporate into a memorial but to keep the sculpture simple we transferred many of the elements to the plaque.

For many reasons we went for the two korus in the shape of a heart design. The kowhaiwhai pattern in the middle of the heart and the back depicted the
children.

The limestone had an amazing vein running through it which is not obvious in the photo and produced a stunning array of colours throughout the sculpture.
